Disk Atlas is made by Symbol Flux, which is a one-person company run by an ex-video game developer who became more interested in building tools to improve the experience and efficiency of using computers for various things (e.g. Lucidity and Tiled Text ).

Symbol Flux's mission is to find new and effective interfaces for dealing with troublesome computing tasks, and then to attach those interfaces to software internals of the highest quality.
